Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of MonkLock. By using the app or website, you agree to these Terms.

Important note

MonkLock is a self-regulation and digital wellbeing tool. It is not medical advice, mental health treatment, therapy, or a parental-control service.

Use of MonkLock

MonkLock helps you create intentional friction before using distracting apps. You are responsible for how you configure your settings, selected apps, Hard Mode, Emergency Bypass, and Daily Gate Close.

Screen Time permissions

Some features require Apple Screen Time permissions. If permissions are disabled, revoked, unavailable, or changed by iOS, app-blocking features may not work until permissions are restored.

Subscriptions

MonkLock may offer auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple. Subscription pricing, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

No guarantee of behavior change

MonkLock is designed to support discipline and intentional phone use, but no app can guarantee focus, productivity, reduced screen time, or behavior change. You remain responsible for your choices and device use.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse MonkLock, attempt to reverse engineer it, interfere with its operation, or use it in a way that violates law or the rights of others.

Availability

MonkLock may change, pause, or discontinue features as the product evolves. Some features depend on Apple APIs, iOS behavior, App Store availability, and device settings.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MonkLock and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page.
