Privacy Policy

MonkLock is built to help you create a more intentional relationship with your phone. Privacy matters because the app deals with focus, habits, and app-blocking preferences.

Summary

MonkLock is designed as a local-first iPhone app. The core app does not require an account, does not sell personal data, and does not use your selected apps for advertising.

Information MonkLock handles

Depending on how you use the app, MonkLock may store the following on your device:

Apple Screen Time permissions

MonkLock uses Apple FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity APIs so you can choose apps to shield and complete a ritual before access. Apple provides opaque tokens for selected apps/categories. MonkLock does not need to know or transmit the names of the apps you select for the core blocking flow.

Data sharing

MonkLock does not sell your personal data. MonkLock does not use your selected apps, reflections, or usage patterns for advertising. If future versions add optional analytics or crash reporting, this policy will be updated before that data is collected.

Purchases

Subscriptions and trials are processed by Apple through App Store payments. MonkLock receives entitlement information from StoreKit to determine whether premium access is active. Payment details are handled by Apple, not MonkLock.

Support

If you contact support, you may choose to provide your email address and details about your issue. That information is used only to respond to your request.

Children

MonkLock is not positioned as a parental-control app and is not intended to collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as MonkLock evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page.
